Everything- A 15 room bed and breakfast in the heart of the Sassi Caveoso with short walks to restaurants, bars and so much historical culture. Our room was charming with a small balcony and overlooked the small road and tourist area as well as the beautiful lights of the Sassi in the evening. Other rooms- suites and junior suites were quieter and overlooked the hotel courtyard. Giuseppe was very friendly and helped us with dinner reservations, showing us the amazing underground cistern that is preserved under the hotel. Waiting in our room was a plate of grapes and plums- so sweet! Breakfast was elegant with a gentleman playing the piano while we dined on fruit, yogurt, pastries, cheese and excellent coffee. We loved the location even the bit of tourist and locals chatter heard from our balcony. Plus The view of the Sassi from the balcony was extraordinary at night. I would definitely recommend.

From the moment we were greeted at the Reception we were made to feel like very special guests. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, the rooms are really stylish and the little details (eg fresh fruit in the rooms, replenished daily) really appreciated. The reception team made the process of booking our hire car into a secure garage really easy and arranged a shuttle bus. The breakfasts were also delicious, light and elegant - we loved being serenaded by a fabulous pianist during breakfast each morning! The network of ancient cisterns below the hotel are also fascinating. It was my husband's birthday during our stay and the hotel left a bottle of sparkling wine on ice in our room with a handwritten card. It was a really lovely and thoughtful touch. This is a great hotel in a beautiful city.

We spent two nights here visiting Matera. Conveniently situated along the main road in the Sassi. Our room was beautifully designed in a rustic but modern minimalist style that perfectly suits the environment. Wonderful breakfasts served in a room above the ancient cisterns. Be sure to take a tour of the underground cisterns and the mirrored art installation! We were lucky to be escorted by one of the owners who provided insight. The friendly front desk staff provided helpful information, including the recommendation to start at Casa Noha to see a film about the history of Matera. A must see, as is MUSMA, the sculpture museum qinside the caves. The lovely owners of Corte San Pietro have created an intimate and soulful place to stay in Matera.

Everything is just perfect. The room was very spacious and furnished very tastefully. The private rooftop terrace is so lovely and you see over the Sassi. The hotel is smag dab in the middle of the Sassi, walking distance to everything and the hotel helps with everything concerning parking the car and transferring the luggage. They even send me my belt back home (it arrived before I did). The breakfast is by far best I‘ve had on my four week trip. I still dream about it. The staff were super friendly to my dog who loved the room and the rooftop terrace aswell. I highly recommend this place. Worth every cent!

The staff at the hotel were exceptional and provided us with great assistance during our stay. They suggested places to visit, arranged tuk-tuk tours, made dining reservations, and helped us get taxis to and from the hotel. They were proud of their hotel and its facilities, which were well-appointed and spacious. Additionally, each hotel room was unique in its way. The breakfast was also very lovely, with fresh squeezed orange juice, made-to-order eggs, coffee, fresh fruit, sweets, and toast. They also offered aperitivo, if you ask, with savory treats, prosecco, beers, and other drinks.
